Princess Obsession
Why is your little princess is obsessed with them.
The usual. You ask what to do your birthday party and insists on a theme birthday party princess. Why are you so obsessed, and is healthy? Is the desire to be servants to do all the housework or the desire for a luxurious lifestyle with beautiful dresses, sparkling jewels and peasants worship? Or is the belief that somewhere deep within every woman there is a bit of royalty? Why do you want to sleep with his crown? This obsession with princesses can not be good for girls in the world today …. Or could it be?
Princess could have everything they want, but more than that. The way Disney portrays the history shows a kind of Cinderella and Princess Sweet had to work hard to get where she was. The rags are transformed into a gown and went to the ball, but the change does not spoil. This goes beyond beauty princess blue eyes and perfect skin. The grace and charm of Cinderella were evident due to the dignity and kindness that kept showing, even in difficult times when stepmother and stepsisters treat her as a maid at home. The message is powerful for girls who covet the life of the Princess: Part of what makes a princess is the act, even during difficult times.
And what about marrying a handsome prince and is leading the sunset? It's a bit naive to expect a man to take care of you and treat you like a king without lifting a finger? "Women are spoon-fed the myth of Cinderella for children" Cele Otnes says the University of Illinois consumer behaviorist and co-author of Cinderella Dreams:. The allure of a lavish wedding is perhaps the old school, but in my opinion, there is nothing inherently wrong with a little princess waiting for a handsome prince to take care of it. Who does not long for stability and security? And while a girl needs an education and achieve one's goals, the Prince represents a chance to feel unconditionally loved and protected. I can be spent fashion, but there is value in finding a partner for support. I certainly appreciate those things. I do not think it's too impossible hope that a good man might want to protect and keep a woman he loves.
Another reason for the appeal Princess is the aspect of fantasy. Mattel brands Bousquette president Matt says, "No pressure today more and more girls to adapt and compete in school, in sports is difficult for young parents realize the value of play and fantasy Barbie is … an outlet for young people to believe in happily ever after. "
Girls who speaks little princess obsession over me, in regard to the issue of self-esteem. I think part of why girls want to act like princesses in their birthday parties or why they have gone all Disney princess movies memory is simple: They want to be important. Important Princess. And after the glass slipper falls bright makeup, girls really want to know that there is a spark of royalty inside. It's like the lines of "The Little Princess" …. "All girls are princesses." In my opinion, if all the girls really believe this, we would have fewer teenage pregnancies and suicides, and more girls coming to knock on more goals people that their immediate realm.
Thus, while it could get old, you want to put that snow white dress age although it is literally falling apart, do not rush to discourage obsession with the princess. That could only play a role in keeping your little princess in tune with what really is and what could be.
